The Stamp Simply Ribbons Store - Altenew Live Life In Full Bloom Card and Tutorial

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, for my Stamp Simply Ribbon Store post I have a fun and very shimmery card and tutorial to share with you.

Here is the card I designed using the Altenew Dahlia Blooms Clear Stamps.  There are a few steps to this card but I promise they are all easy and well worth the outcome.

To start I stamped the flowers and leaves on to some post-it notes and then fussy cut.  If you don't have any post-it notes you can also use some printer/copy paper and a two way glue pen.  **Edit--I just wanted to let everyone know Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper is now available in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  You can click HERE to find it.  These pieces will be used to mask off the stamping on the card in front and to layer the stamps.  I stamped the first flower with VersaMark ink.  Then, I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  Then I added the mask on top of the flower on the card front and stamped another flower right next to it.  I removed the mask and then added more embossing powder and heat set the powders.  I repeated this step several times with the flowers and leaves. Just make sure you have a mask in place anytime you are stamping the images that overlap each other.

Once all of the embossing was done then I colored over all of the flowers and leaves with the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen,  You just have to stay within the outer outline parts of the flower and leaves so it goes pretty quick to color them in.  The flowers on the right have just the wink of stella on them.  Next, I used a water brush and added some DecoArt Metallic Lustre Gold Rush to each of the petals and leaves.  This isn't anything fancy and there is no real technique.  I just started at the back of each petal/leaf and lightly pounced the water brush with the gold rush to add some color and then worked towards the front of the petal and the color will get lighter.  If the color gets too dark for your liking just take a paper towel and press down on the area to pick up the color.  Also the more water you add the lighter the gold will appear.

Now, I will say this was a little hard to photograph and some of the pictures the gold looks more like a yellow gold but in real life it isn't that bold.  I tried to tweak some of the pictures in photoshop but sometimes deep pink and red colors can be a bit hard to photograph.  But I wanted to let you know it's not as bold as it might look.

In this picture all of the leaves and flowers are colored.

Here is a close up.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of  Vellum with VersaMark ink.  Then, I added Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  I folded the vellum around to the back and taped it in place.  I also used some Bazzill Gold Mirror paper for a second layer on the card.

Here is a close up.  I added a few 5mm Crystal Cup Sequins.

I added the card front to a top folding A2 landscape white card base.

I hope you enjoyed the card and tutorial.  This is an easy way to add LOTS of shimmer to you card.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Graphic 45 Mon Amour Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I used some of the beautiful papers from the Graphic 45 Mon Amour 8 x 8 Paper Pad.  Mon Amour means 'My Love' in french so this card could be used for a Valentine or Anniversary.  For the background I used a piece of the dark gray paper with the script and then I layered a floral paper on the bottom half.  I layered the pattern paper on to some deep red cardstock that was a prefect match to some of the flowers. Next, I added some Black Seam Binding across the paper to cover up where the layeres meet.  Then I added the paper layers to a black A2 top folding card base.

Before I added the image of the man and woman to the front of the card I went over all of the flowers on the pattern paper and the main image with a Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.  Then I went over all of the flowers again with some Ranger Glossy Accents.

Here is a close up of the main image that I layered on top of some deep red cardstock.  I used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares in between the paper layers.

To finish off the card I added a black seam binding bow on the side.  Then I also added some  Prima Interlude Black/Gray Flowers and My Mind's Eye Necessities Black & Gray Enamel Dots.

This card came together pretty quick and with all of the cut apart images in the paper pad you would be able to create several cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed the card share.  Don't forget to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of you paper crafting supplies.  Also visit the Stamp Simply Blog to see more inspiration from the design team.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Hello Gorgeous I Love You Valentine Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) Valentine card to share with you.

Here is the card I designed.  I used some of the pretty papers from the My Mind's Eye - Hello Gorgeous paper collection.  Whenever I am using pattern paper I usually pick two or three different patterns--a bold print, a smaller print, and another print that is close to a solid color or a has a very subtle print.

I used white cardstock and Floral Affair die from Spellbinders to die cut the floral heart.  Then, I applied Delicata Golden Glitz ink to the die cut using a sponge.  Next, I added Ranger Super Fine Clear Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt the embossing powders.  I repeated adding the ink and embossing powders two more times.  Doing this adds more dimension to the die cut.

Here is a close up.  The added layers from from the embossing powder give the die cut a faux metal look or a chipboard look depending on the color of embossing powder that is used.  To embellish the wreath I added some Melissa Frances White Pearls to the center of several flowers.  I also added small bits of Foam Squares to the back of the wreath for some extra dimension.

For the sentiment I used stamps from the Altenew - Painted Rose clear stamp set.  I used the same  Delicata Golden Glitz and stamped the sentiment on to a piece of  Vellum but I used a different embossing powder.  For the sentiment I used Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  You can see the difference in how the gold looks using different embossing powders.  The clear embossing powder show the true color of the Delicata ink which is more of a golden yellow.  I thought that would bring out the yellow in the flowers on the pattern paper.  Also when you are heat embossing on vellum make sure that your heat tool is good and hot before bringing it to the vellum.  Doing this will help to keep the vellum from warping a lot.  I wrapped the vellum around the bottom half of the paper and taped it in the back.  I also added a few more Melissa Frances White Pearls by the sentiment.

Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you like the Valentine card I shared.  Please be sure to visit The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting goodies.  Also check out the Stamp Simply Blog to see more inspiration from the design team.

I hope you have a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend!

Heidi

ButterBeeScraps - Gold and Bronze Leaf Necklace

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all staying warm with this crazy winter weather that has been going on for the last week or so.  Just the other day I heard on the radio that the state of Florida was the only state that didn't have snow!

Today, I am excited to bring you another guest designer post for ButterBeeScraps.  I love being able to use all of the beautiful metal filigree pieces to create jewelry.

Here is a look at the necklace I designed.  I mixed the metals for this necklace using gold and bronze.  I used the Gold Leaf Metal Filigree Embellishment 672-G for the larger leaf and Bronze Leaf Metal Filigree Embellishments 670-B for the smaller bronze leaves.  The leaves are very pretty and I love the simplicity of them.

I used gold chain and jump rings to dangle the smaller bronze leaves and a wire wrapped beaded dangle.

To create the wire wrapped beaded dangle I used a Bronze Ball End Head PinsClear Rhinestone and Gold Rondelle Spacer Beads 8mm BD008-G/CLGold Filigree Bead Caps CAP857-G, a large Jesse James Bead, and a Topaz AB Bead.  The gold bead caps are so pretty.

I also added a couple of wire wrapped beaded spacers to the necklace.  I used all of the same supplies that were used to create the wire wrapped beaded dangle except for the bronze wire.

To finish off the necklace I added a couple more of the small bronze leaves.

The necklace is actually longer than what is shown in the pictures.  I pinned the necklace up on the necklace form to be able to get better photos of it.  The necklace is about 30". This would be a great jewelry piece to create for beginners.

I hope you enjoyed this jewelry share.  Please be sure to visit ButterBeeScraps blog for more inspiration from the design team.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Stay warm and happy creating!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - CAS Birthday Wishes Card

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) birthday card to share with you.

Check out this gorgeous pattern paper!  It is so pretty and reminds me of watercolor.  The paper is from the Harvest Meadow Paper Pack from Wild Rose Studio.  But don't let the name fool you.  This paper pack is filled with beautiful prints that could be used all year round.  I layered a couple pieces of paper from the pack and used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares in between the layers for some dimension.  Then, I added the layers to an A2 top folding white card base.

Here is another close up of those beautiful flowers.

The sentiment is from the SS-Sent003 Birthday Blessing stamp set from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  I stamped the sentiment on to white cardstock using Tuxedo black ink.  Then I used the  Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Five to die cut the label shape.  I used a few more foam square and added the label to the card front.

I hope you enjoyed today's CAS card share.  Please be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting needs.  Also check out the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

Tonic Studios - How Many Crystal Drops are in One Bottle?

Have you tried the NUVO Crystal Drops from Tonic Studios?

Have you ever wondered how many drops are in a bottle?  I think you might really be surprised!

Owain from Tonic Studios in the UK solves the mystery.  It's kind of like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tooties pop but this is how many drops before the bottle is empty lol.

Are you surprised?  I'd say that's a whole lot of bang for the buck!!
Gotta Love that!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I will be back tomorrow to share a CAS Birthday card with you.

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
